Georgia Woods is a reader and writer at heart, but also works as a freelance editor, currently for two publishers, Loose Id and Liquid Silver Books, who are primarily ebook publishers but also handle print books. She's a member of Romance Writers of America and their Desert Rose Chapter, Passionate Ink, Romance Divas, and EPIC. She is published in the non-fiction arena, mostly training manuals and articles from her years spent in the fields of IT and law enforcement, and has several fiction works in progress she hopes you'll be reading soon. She was voted one of the top editors in the field by her peers in a poll done by Predators and Editors, one of the most respected sources of information about publishers and writing services for writers.
Georgia was born and raised just north of Atlanta and comes from a long line of feisty Southern women. She lives in Arizona with her husband, who is her best friend and the love of her life. They raised five children together during his years in the military, but now share their house with a couple of fur babies, a goofy Golden Retriever who lays at her feet to keep them warm while she writes, and a longhaired spoiled hussy of a kitty who throws herself on her back and begs every time she spots "The Man".
After a few very busy years spent with a multitude of teenagers running in and out of the house, nowadays they live a more private life. Much of their time is spent in quiet pursuits like gardening, lazing around the pool, or trying new recipes on the grill. But every once in a while, they manage to sneak off to a beach or the mountains to spend some quality time together now that they don't have little ones under their feet. You might catch them walking on the beach at Coronado in the shadow of whichever ship happens to be in port, or shopping the roadside vegetable stands and antique markets in the Blue Ridge mountains, or indulging their deep and abiding love of history while prowling the Smithsonian or hiking the battlefields of Kennesaw Mountain or Gettysburg.
When she's not writing, Georgia enjoys gardening, building Shaker-style furniture, horses, traveling, swimming, and hiking. She collects antique linens and Old Country Roses china, and is working on her designation as an NRA certified firearms instructor.

She's always been a bit of a party girl, and was considered quite glamorous in her day.
She has worn many hats in several fields computer technician and DOD network security contractor, stay-at-home Mom, secretary, firearms instructor, bank teller, small business owner, military wife, and one of the toughest proud military Mom. Currently she works the "dreaded day job" in the law enforcement field. Along the way, she learned there are several great truths in life. Most importantly, the old saw No news is good news is the mantra she lives by. The others are there is no greater gift you can give yourself than giving back, no greater blessing than love, and nothing more freeing than learning to laugh at yourself. She works in a very exciting and adrenaline-laced environment, and has a vivid and active imagination. She figures theres no way to get every story floating around in her head down on paper even if she types for the next forty years, but shes willing to give it a shot.

Her kids may be grown and gone, but she still has a baby or two hanging around, including her old Yucky Dog.
